Think Globally, Act Locally
How are we affecting the local watershed?
Project Summary
Students use the scientific process to determine the health and well-being of a local environment. Student teams plan and conduct fieldwork, taking samples from the local watershed and testing those samples for specific aspects of watershed health. Students then analyze the data, looking for patterns and trends across groups in order to make a determination of overall watershed health. Finally, students consider the implications of the data for the general public and they create and carry out a plan for sharing their findings and recommendations.
