New Resources for High-Quality PBL

BIE is pleased to partner with BloomBoard  - a place where educators can learn, share, and discuss the best teaching ideas to solve everyday classroom challenges and improve their practice. At BIE we are excite to share “Gold Standard Project Based Learning: An Overview“ collection today.

Project Based Learning can be transformative, but only when it's implemented with integrity, rigor, and purpose. In order to help teachers create high-quality PBL experiences for students, the Buck Institute for Education has developed the Gold Standard PBL framework, which draws from current research and theory as well as the practical experience of highly effective PBL teachers.

In our BloomBoard collection, "Gold Standard Project Based Learning: An Overview," we share core resources that introduce, explain, and exemplify the Gold Standard PBL model. The collection includes books, videos, articles, and practical tools to jump-start your work with Gold Standard PBL. After you familiarize yourself with the resources in this collection, you may want to check out some of BIE's other Gold Standard PBL collections, which highlight specific aspects of our Gold Standard Project Based Teaching Practices.

Throughout the month of February, over 20 education bloggers will be sharing collections of learning resources on their blog and writing about how that collection powers their practice. The collections will either be ones the bloggers have curated themselves around a topic of interest or expertise, or just a favorite of theirs from the new BloomBoard. Readers can check back into the BloomBoard Blog every Monday in February for the week’s schedule of bloggers.

The next blog will be posted by Jennifer Bond, a teacher in Walled Lake, Michigan who will share a featured collection on her EdTech Cheerleader blog.

Follow along daily on BloomBoard’s Facebook and Twitter.
