How We Designed an Interdisciplinary Project
Are you thinking about doing an interdisciplinary project? There’s a lot to consider. My colleagues and I created such a project for 7th grade students at a K-12 charter school in Round Rock Texas. It included Theater Arts, World Languages (French and Spanish), and my Design Thinking course.
The most obvious thing to say about the project design process with multiple subjects is that there has to be an initial conversation between two or three (or more) teachers who want to work together. At our school that conversation happened between the theater teacher and me a few months prior to the project launch.
