How can we as composers transform a viewer’s experience of a film?
Students work in design teams as part of a film scoring “company” to compose music (sound tracks, soundscapes) and develop a class portfolio of examples for movie studio clients. Taken collectively, the class portfolio includes a variety of moods and textures suitable for drama, comedy, action/adventure, sci-fi, and so on. The class should incorporate videos and music styles from a range of genres and cultures into its portfolio.
