A group of puppies in a cage at an animal shelter

In this project, students partner with a local pet shelter to make a positive impact. They design and distribute a survey aimed at understanding the motivations behind pet adoption, the specific attributes potential pet owners seek in their furry companions, and the practical considerations that must be taken into account (ie, size of living space, local breed restrictions, and availability of exercise areas). By gathering, analyzing, and presenting this valuable data, the students work toward increasing pet adoptions and customizing community outreach efforts, all with the goal of connecting more shelter pets with their forever homes.
