One out of two American children suffer from chronic health problems. This project connects nutrition, stress/mental health, school schedules, physical activity and reducing risky behaviors with structures and policies that support overall wellness. Students undertake research that exposes often conflicting ideas and beliefs on health and wellness approaches, and they explore questions about current school practices. They arrive at informed, justifiable recommendations for improving school wellness policies and promoting student wellness.
