A group of people wading through a flooded street to a pick-up truck to receive containers of water.

Student teams research the causes, features, and risks of common natural hazards, then create preparedness guides with design solutions for a region affected by each hazard. They explore how hazards impact regions differently and ensure their guides address diverse populations, such as people with disabilities, speakers of other languages, older adults, children, and houseless people. Students send their guides to community leaders in their target regions and present them to a panel of local community members.
