Middle School STEM students will research human limb anatomy and physiology, understand factors that can affect limb structure and function, consider the history of human prosthetic use, design simple functional mechanical devices to accomplish a series of grasping and lifting tasks, and ultimately put their understanding to use as they work within the framework of the eNABLE organization to 3D print and construct mechanical devices for recipients in need.
