As lobbyists representing young people, students select issues to work on (teen steroid use, school bullying, medical marijuana, or other issues determined by the teacher). Students must do research, recommend a position, and explain how to pursue legislation at the federal level, learning how laws are created as well as what alternative pathways exist to address issues through state legislatures, the courts, or executive orders.
